Punctele gastronomice locale (PGL) din România: considerații introductive

Ioana Bulău-Olaru

Abstract

Although the legislative framework has referred to local gastronomic points (PGLs) since 2008, these are a relatively recent initiative in Romania. Local gastronomic points aim to promote culinary traditions and local resources by integrating them into rural tourism offerings. In this article, we aim to provide an introductory analysis of the role that PGLs play in the development of gastronomic tourism, while also highlighting their importance at the local level, as they are a valuable tool for sustainable tourism and the revitalization of rural Romania.
