Transparența administrativă și legătura acesteia cu digitalizarea procesului de comunicare administrativă din România

Călin Ghiolțan, Valentin Mada

Abstract

Romanian citizens have always been reluctant to trust public authorities. In recent years, Romania has experienced numerous corruption issues and political scandals, which have profoundly affected citizens’ trust in the political class and public institutions. These events have led to a change in citizens’ behavior regarding the sources of information they consider credible. Thus, citizens have begun to have greater trust in messages or information on social networks than in those officially transmitted by leaders or representatives of public institutions. Social media is also perceived as more transparent and accessible than public institutions. People can quickly and easily find out about current events and communicate directly with other citizens, without having to go through intermediaries or wait for press releases. This gives citizens a sense of power and control, which makes information received through social media perceived as more credible and relevant.
