Abstract


Civil status is the sum of personal qualities through which a person is individualized. Given that the proof of civil status is made by individuals with civil status documents, the importance of the correct understanding of the notions of civil status, civil status documents and actions for annulment, completion and rectification of civil status documents is one of a practical nature, regarding the activity of civil servants, as well as regarding the effects that this activity produces in relation with the citizens.
