Abstract


Even if the theory of Max Weber regarding administrative systems is criticized by a number of specialists in the field, its importance for the evolution of administrative science cannot be overestimated. This article is trying to make a brief introduction in the way that prebureaucratic administrative systems evolved to more formalized models. The increasing complexity of the human communities was the main element that conduct to more sofisticated and rational sets of rules.
