Reprezentări sociale și construirea imaginii publice

Abstract


This study deals with the concept of „social representation”, a mental construct performing a cognitive function which, at the same time, is perceived as a form of cultural expression and a means to the re-construction of reality. The basic idea is that the build-up of identity as well as the public image makes appeal to the construction of representations both by direct perception and by conveying information in the communication process.
