Cercetarea științifică și politica audiovizualului în domeniul violenței mediatice
Abstract
In the last 50 years a big debate over the link between media violence and aggression took place. After several hundreds or more researches there are no scientifical irrefutable evidence about such a connection. The Romanian National Audio-Visual Council, based on such theories, started a campaign against media violence and ordered several researches on this topic. The article tries to do a meta-research over five such studies. The conclusions is that, as in many other cases regarding policies, research is done mainly to justify policies already in place and ethical concerns about scientificity are of no importance.
